U10
East Pasco U10 Soccer Program (Ages 8–9)
Our U10 program at East Pasco Youth Soccer is designed for players ages 8 and 9 who are ready to take their soccer experience to the next level.
At this age, players begin to refine their skills and deepen their understanding of the game while still enjoying the fun, fast-paced environment youth soccer provides.
U10 is an exciting stage in development—kids transition from small-sided play to more team-oriented strategies.
Players participate in 7v7 games, introducing them to more structured positions like defenders, midfielders, and forwards.
They'll learn how to communicate on the field, support their teammates, and begin recognizing offensive and defensive formations.
What to Expect in U10 at East Pasco:
- Format: 7v7 games including a goalkeeper, with practices held once or twice a week depending on the team.
- Field Size: Medium-sized fields tailored for this age group to support skill development and tactical awareness.
- Game Time: Players rotate positions and receive equal playing time to explore their strengths and grow in all areas.
- Skills Focus: Dribbling under pressure, passing accuracy, basic team tactics, shooting techniques, and improved ball control.
- Development Goals: Build confidence, improve decision-making, learn the importance of teamwork, and foster a lifelong love of soccer.
Our volunteer coaches ensure a positive, encouraging experience for every child.
The focus at this level is on player development, learning, and having fun—not just the scoreboard.
Whether your child is brand new to soccer or continuing from our younger age groups, U10 is where their passion, skills, and understanding of the game really start to shine!
